Every month/six weeks we base our play around a seasonal topical theme, and link lots of our play to 'targeted stories'. In the next few weeks we will be thinking about Spring, farm animals, life cycles and growth. Reading at home will add to the enjoyment of books and stories. Our choice of new songs and rhymes will enhance our learning .  Check out this website for more details. Please borrow books from school and share at home with your child! Please take time to explore the  Displays with your child and toddler brothers and sisters. They are allowed to touch!!  We will have activity ideas for you to extend the learning at home - nothing too structured or difficult - just fun activities!

Please borrow  copies of these books from school  to share at Bedtime with your child! Sign them out and in again in the usual  Class Library Files and check out what other learning can take place, based on these lovely stories- Ideas are posted beside the Whiteboard in The Reception Area.

 Our 'targeted stories' include 'Jack and the Beanstalk', 'Farmer Duck' and those books featuring Percy The Park Keeper. Mr Hullabaloo will be coming to give an 'interactive' performance using stories, such as the Ugly Ducking, little Red Hen and Jack. We will also be having lots of invited story tellers over the next few months- check out out daily whiteboard ands this website.

Throughout the year, we will be posting ideas relating to our current topics for you to share with your child at home. This will reinforce the learning that takes place in school.

Also please post photos of your child or family learning together. These are kept private between teachers and  your family and will not be shared with others or the wider school community.
